‘Gua Sha’ or ‘scraping’ is traditionally a form of Chinese medicine. It was used to help unblock ‘qi’ or ‘chi’ in the body to release aches, pains, and tensions.
They sure knew what they were doing. Because today Gua Sha is still being used by a small amount of skilled practitioners to help release built up fascia and tension in the body.
Now, if you had a LOT of fascia built up, especially after an injury or lack of physical activity; you probably need a professional.
Heads up, it might be painful.
